Home Theater Accessories

A/V Racks and Stands

A/V racks and stands are a must have accessories for your home theater. The A/V rack will display your components and separate them to provide ventilation. If you want you components out in the open you will want to select a rack with a metal frame. Metal frame racks are more vibration resistant and will protect your components from rattling and damage from vibration. If you select a cabinet to house your home theater components, remember to keep your components cool by providing them with enough ventilation.

Transducers (Butt Shakers)

Transducers, also known as butt shakers are a great addition to any home theater. A few well placed transducers under a couch or theater seat will make your body shake with vibrations on the screen. Transducers have the ability to bring the action right to where you are sitting. Imagine feeling the ground shake with every explosion and blast like you are on the screen.

Motion Simulators

Another great way to get you into the action is the use of a motion simulator. Motion simulators work by moving you with on screen movements. The motion simulator has a control that is synchronized to the DVD source. Each movie is coded for specific movements to reflect movements on screen. Imagine being able to feel the force of a jet taking off or the hair pin turns in a car chase. Now that is what makes home theater a monster.

Power Conditioners

Power conditioners are an important accessories to consider for your home theater. Power levels in homes fluctuate anytime power is being drawn to another source. This causes surges in the power that can affect your equipment. A power conditioner will provide a steady flow of power to your system. A steady flow of power means better audio and video performance. If a power conditioner is not in your budget, you wall at least want to purchase a sure protector. A surge protector will protect your equipment from major changes in the electrical supply. However, a surge protector will not provide a continuous level of power.
